Wordsetc is a quarterly literary journal that promotes local literature. It’s a publication for a South African public that is deeply into books and believes in the power of literature to enrich lives. While primarily providing a platform for emerging writers, it also pays homage to old masters.
It also carries content by international authors. The publication is published by Flamenco Publishing, a Johannesburg-based publishing company. Wordsetc launched in December 2007 to rave reviews.
Submissions
Wordsetc is constantly looking for exceptional writers who can provide book reviews, short stories, poetry, personal notes and literary essays. For inquiries, please email to submissions@wordsetc.co.za.
But before submitting, we’d be happy to chat to you beforehand over email about what you intend giving us. We reserve the right not to use your work or to edit it. If we have to edit your work, we’ll be courteous enough to communicate that fact with you.
